Responsibilities

The Food Purchasing Manager is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing food products, beverages, and related supplies to support daily operations while maintaining quality standards, controlling costs, and ensuring timely delivery. This role works closely with the Executive Chef, Beverage Manager, vendors, finance, and operations to maintain inventory levels, support menu development, and ensure compliance with company policies and food safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage purchasing activities for food, beverage, and operational supplies.
Develop and maintain relationships with approved vendors and distributors.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms to achieve cost savings and operational efficiency.
Monitor inventory levels and place orders based on business needs and usage trends.
Review and approve purchase orders, invoices, and vendor contracts.
Ensure product quality meets company specifications and standards.
Coordinate with culinary and operations teams regarding menu changes, special events, and seasonal purchasing needs.
Track market trends, shortages, and pricing fluctuations affecting food costs.
Maintain accurate purchasing records and inventory reports.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Hospitality Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3–5 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in hospitality, food service, restaurant, or entertainment operations.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Knowledge of food products, inventory control, and purchasing systems.
Experience with purchasing software, inventory systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
