This is a full-time remote position; however, candidates must be located in North Carolina.
Position Overview:
In this full-time role, you’ll support our radiologists by accurately editing radiology reports into comprehensive records using voice recognition software, while also providing essential administrative assistance.
By providing timely, accurate documentation of radiology reports, you will enhance workflow efficiency and contribute to high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately edit and complete reports using built-in templates and narrative-style dictation from multiple facilities.
- Detect and correct discrepancies in dictations to ensure accuracy.
- Accurately enter data and worksheets from various sources into templates.
- Communicate with healthcare providers and patients regarding patient information and reports in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner, in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Reconcile daily records of “no dictation” cases and review completed or unreported studies to ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Answer and route incoming calls to the appropriate radiologist based on specialty, availability, and schedule.
- Resolve QA issues and obtain missing information to complete reports.
Position Requirements:
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or one year of related experience/training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 1 year working with medical terminology as it relates to radiology.
- Education and/or experience editing physician dictations. Preference for experience working with Powerscribe or voice recognition software.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Extreme accuracy.
- Flexible mindset and ability to think on your feet in a fast-paced environment.
