Brief Description
The Biostatistician is responsible for:
The experience and expertise to perform statistical analysis projects using SAS and/or S-PLUS. Conducts analyses and works with Biostatistics team members to delivered assigned work. Statistical consultant to CAP members, committees, and staff. Provides programming expertise on assigned projects.
Specific Duties
- Provide timely and accurate statistical and data analysis expertise for designing studies, managing data, and conducting statistical analyses.
- Collaborate with project partners to prepare analysis plans for each assigned project, including a timeline for deliverables.
- Conduct individual analyses on projects, including programming assignments in SAS and/or S-PLUS.
- Provide statistical consulting with assigned CAP staff and/or committee members. Assist in the development and review of committee manuscripts.
- Partner with PT Operations and Technical staff to analyze and troubleshoot data anomalies.
- Work with CAP Biostatistics programming staff on jointly assigned programs. Consult with Senior Biostatisticians on statistical issues.
Knowledge/Skills Required/Preferred
Personal:
- Excellent verbal communication, technical writing skills and problem solving ability.
- Excellent technical skills and the ability and desire to expand expertise and apply current statistical methods.
- Effective workload management skills.
- Ability to independently write programs in statistical analysis software packages.
Education/Experience
Education:
- Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics or related field.
- Two to five years statistical experience, preferably in the medical field.
- Five years of experience in SAS and/or R required.

- Salary: $87,000 - $111,000
