Full Job Description

Medical Services is hiring a remote Medicaid Quality Specialist that will be in North Dakota.

As our Medicaid Quality Specialist, you will have the opportunity to directly impact member health outcomes by improving access to preventive care, strengthening provider engagement, and advancing quality improvement initiatives that support North Dakota's mission of becoming the healthiest state in the nation. In this role, you will serve as a key resource to the Quality Outreach Lead Coordinator and the broader outreach team as you help advance primary care delivery through a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) approach for both providers and members.
You will perform a range of administrative and analytical functions that are essential to the success of Medicaid quality improvement initiatives and daily operations. Your work will support activities that promote preventive care, strengthen program operations, and ensure compliance with federal and state Medicaid quality requirements, including Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) services. You will develop documentation templates and tools to improve program effectiveness, and you will assist in creating and maintaining manuals, policies, and guidance that support both provider and member facing needs.

In this role, you will collect and analyze data to support planning, reporting, and ongoing quality initiatives in the Medicaid Quality Outreach and EPSDT program. You will track care gap data and quality metrics and monitor quality performance against clinical and operational targets. You will also manage website content and program materials for Quality Outreach and the EPSDT benefit program, ensuring information is accurate, clear, and accessible.

To succeed in this position, you will bring an understanding of PCMH concepts, along with experience in data analysis and claims processes. You will use strong analytical skills to interpret complex system reports and translate findings into actionable improvements. You should have a strong ability to analyze data and present the findings clearly.

You will communicate effectively across multiple platforms and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders. You will also need to remain adaptable, shifting between priorities as urgent needs arise, while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.

Location
This position is remote in North Dakota and must have the ability to travel as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

You must have one of the following:

Bachelor's degree in data analytics, healthcare analytics, healthcare informatics, or a related field (experience not required)
Or Associate degree in a related field plus 2 years of experience
Or High school diploma or GED plus 4 years of experience

Experience must include:

Healthcare data collection and analysis
Healthcare quality improvement and reporting
Creating dashboards, reports, or data visualizations
Developing or maintaining website or program content

You are required to become Patient Centered Medical Home Content Expert certified within one year of employment.
