Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of datacenter construction projects. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring successful project delivery within the defined scope, budget, and schedule. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes specific to datacenter builds. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage contractors, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Participate in site assessments and risk assessments to inform project planning.
- Identify and engage relevant subcontractors and vendors for specialized tasks.
- Project Execution: Oversee all aspects of the construction project, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure smooth project progress.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design, quality, and safety standards.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to assess project progress and address any issues promptly. (will involve some travel)
- Manage project documentation, change orders, and project communication to ensure accurate and timely information flow.
- Budget and Cost Control: Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring cost control measures are in place.
- Collaborate with internal finance teams to provide accurate cost forecasts, cost-to-completion analyses, and budget updates.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
- Schedule Management: Work with the contractors to create and maintain project schedules, identifying critical path activities and key milestones.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to minimize disruptions and optimize construction sequencing.
- Team Leadership and Communication: Lead project teams, providing clear direction, guidance, and support.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members, stakeholders, and contractors.
- Conduct regular project meetings to review progress, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with project goals.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred, relevant equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager, specifically in Mission-Critical datacenter builds.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes related to datacenter construction.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple construction projects simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Familiarity with environmental, health, and safety regulations in the construction industry.

Physical Requirements:
- Able to remain in a seated position for an extended period and to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. (office manuals, case notebooks, case files, case materials, standard boxes, report binders, etc.) as needed.
