POSITION SUMMARY
The Experiential Learning (EL) Pop-Up Associate plays a key role in bringing Junior Achievement North's immersive learning experiences directly to students across our region. This position is responsible for coordinating, delivering, and continuously improving JA North's pop-up experiential learning programs, including JA Finance Park Pop-Up and Dream Accelerator Pop-Up, ensuring every program is engaging, well-executed, and delivers a high-quality educational experience.
Working closely with school partners, volunteers, and internal teams, the EL Pop-Up Associate manages program logistics, facilitates onsite implementation, and helps create meaningful learning environments that inspire students to explore future careers, build financial capability, and develop essential life skills.
This position also partners with JA North's broader Programs team to maintain consistency, quality, and fidelity across experiential learning programs throughout our service area. Regular regional travel is an essential part of the role, including overnight stays when destination is more than an hour away. Anticipated regional travel (with overnights) is 4-10 days/month, depending on Program schedules.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Implementation & Delivery
· Partner closely with JA North Program team members to support the effective delivery of programs across the region, including hands-on and pop-up learning experiences.
· Coordinate logistics and scheduling for experiential programs, including Finance Park Pop-Ups and Dream Accelerator Pop-Ups.
· Oversee curriculum distribution and ensure materials are delivered effectively to school partners.
· Provide training and orientation for educators and volunteers to ensure strong program readiness and alignment.
· Identify opportunities to enhance program experiences for students, educators, and volunteers.
Operation of JA Pop-Up Simulations
- Serve as a lead facilitator for JA North Pop-Up Simulations across North Dakota and eastern Montana, in close collaboration with the Program Managers in North Dakota.
- Travel to and facilitate operations of pop-up simulations, including transporting materials, set-up, take-down, volunteer training, and facilitating the student experience.
- Provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders, helping to build strong relationships that support continued partnerships with schools and educators.
- Communicate regularly with teachers, schools, and partner host sites to ensure that the location is prepared to host JA staff and students on the simulation date(s).
- Collaborate closely with the regional program managers in the planning of learning experiences.
- Understand and monitor simulation software systems and technology.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the learning experience for students, volunteers, and educators.
- Collaborate with Experiential Learning program staff across Junior Achievement North and stay up-to-date on program improvements and implementation updates.
- Manage records and information relating to school and volunteer activity, which includes coordinating with the Data Team to ensure program progress and verification status is captured and accurate in reports.
- Work with all EL team and JA staff to ensure a positive experience for students, teachers, and volunteers.
- Lead volunteer trainings ahead of simulations.
- Participate in additional projects as needed to support Experiential Learning and JA North initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Must be able to drive pop-up unit. An active driver’s license is required for this role.
· Passion for education and youth work
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with people with diverse backgrounds and perspectives
· Experience fostering inclusion and belonging; in educational spaces preferred
· Ability to think creatively and problem-solve
· Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
· Ability to support and work with a team
· Computer literacy with iPads, Google aps and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Ability to support tech during event set-ups.
