Registered Nurse: Aesthetics and Wellness

About the Role:

We are a growing regenerative and age-management practice in Milford, Connecticut seeking a patient-first Registered Nurse who is highly confident with blood draws and IV placement and interested in building a long-term career in aesthetics, wellness, and outpatient medicine.

This position is ideal for a professional, dependable nurse who combines strong clinical skills with a warm bedside manner and thrives in a boutique, hospitality-forward environment. The RN will provide hands-on patient care while also supporting the clinical and operational responsibilities of a growing practice.

Core Clinical Requirement

Strong IV and venipuncture skills are essential to this position.

Candidates must be experienced and consistently comfortable with:

Venipuncture and routine blood draws
IV placement and management
Troubleshooting difficult IV access
Maintaining patient comfort throughout treatment
Administering IV medications and therapies within their scope and training
Monitoring patients during and after treatment

Candidates without meaningful hands-on experience and confidence with IV placement and blood draws will not be a fit for this role.

What You’ll Do

Perform blood draws and IV starts using excellent clinical technique and a high standard of patient care
Administer IV medications, injections, and wellness therapies as permitted by applicable protocols and scope of practice
Monitor patients during and after treatment and recognize changes in patient condition
Conduct patient intakes and assessments, obtain vital signs, and review relevant medical histories
Provide patient education regarding treatments, procedures, aftercare, and follow-up
Support aesthetic and injectable services within your scope of practice and completed training
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation using the practice’s electronic medical record system
Follow infection-control, medication-safety, emergency-response, and patient-confidentiality procedures
Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked treatment rooms
Assist with inventory management, medication and supply ordering, patient telephone communication, scheduling, and other clinical-office responsibilities
Coordinate appropriate patient follow-up and escalate clinical concerns when necessary

Required Qualifications

Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut
Current Basic Life Support certification
Strong and demonstrable IV insertion and venipuncture skills
Experience administering medications and injections within the RN scope of practice
Ability to perform patient assessments, obtain vital signs, review medical histories, and recognize changes in patient condition
Knowledge of infection control, medication safety, emergency-response procedures, and HIPAA requirements
Experience with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
Strong communication, organization, and patient-education skills
Professional, warm, dependable, and detail-oriented
Ability to work independently and exercise appropriate clinical judgment in a fast-paced outpatient environment
Availability to work flexible weekday hours, with occasional evenings or weekends based on patient scheduling
Interest in aesthetics, wellness, and age-management medicine

Preferred Qualifications

Two or more years of clinical nursing experience
Previous experience in infusion therapy, aesthetics, functional medicine, outpatient wellness, or a medical-spa environment
Experience administering IV medications and wellness therapies in an outpatient setting
Familiarity with injectable services, lasers, energy-based devices, or aesthetic-practice workflows
Comfort educating patients about treatment options in a helpful, consultative, and non-pushy manner

Early-Career Candidates

Early-career nurses may be considered when they can demonstrate strong, hands-on IV placement and venipuncture experience.

A formal aesthetics credential by itself does not replace the need for meaningful blood-draw and IV experience. Candidates with limited general nursing experience should also have one or more of the following:

Formal aesthetics education or certification
Documented clinical or shadowing experience in an aesthetics, infusion, wellness, or outpatient setting
Relevant continuing education or practical training
Demonstrated commitment to developing a career in aesthetics and wellness
