Full Job Description

Paradise Restaurant & Banquet Hall is a growing Italian restaurant and full-service event venue specializing in weddings, showers, repasses, catering, private parties, and community celebrations. We are looking for a hands-on manager to help lead day-to-day restaurant operations while also generating new business through catering sales, banquet outreach, and relationship building.

This role works closely alongside the General Manager and ownership to keep the restaurant running smoothly, maintain a positive team environment, and help grow our event and catering business.

The Role

We are seeking a driven, organized, and people-focused Restaurant Operations & Event Sales Manager to support daily restaurant service, strengthen workplace communication, and actively bring in new catering and banquet opportunities.

Responsibilities include:

Supporting day-to-day restaurant operations Tuesday through Sunday
Working alongside the General Manager to oversee front-of-house service, staff, and guest experience
Helping maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented workplace culture
Promoting strong communication and camaraderie between staff, management, and ownership
Assisting with scheduling, floor supervision, staff accountability, and service standards
Handling guest concerns professionally and helping ensure a smooth dining experience
Generating catering and banquet leads through outbound calls, emails, messages, local outreach, and follow-ups
Building relationships with funeral homes, offices, schools, churches, community groups, wedding vendors, and local organizations
Responding to event inquiries and helping convert leads into booked events
Conducting event walkthroughs and assisting with banquet planning, contracts, deposits, and client communication
Supporting event execution, setup coordination, staffing communication, and service flow
Creating or assisting with Instagram/Facebook posts, event promotion, and local group outreach
Processing payments, handling cash responsibly, and assisting with closing duties when needed
Using basic computer skills for emails, documents, invoices, schedules, POS, and client communication

You Are

The ideal candidate is:

Experienced in restaurant, hospitality, catering, banquet, or event operations
Comfortable leading a floor while also being involved in sales and outreach
Friendly, professional, and confident in client-facing conversations
Organized, reliable, and able to follow through on tasks and leads
Comfortable making calls, sending messages, following up, and building relationships
Able to motivate staff and help create a positive workplace environment
Strong with communication, accountability, and teamwork
Comfortable using email, documents, POS systems, social media, and basic computer tools
Responsible with cash, payments, deposits, and closing procedures
Available to work evenings, weekends, and event-heavy schedules

Bonus If You Have

Catering or banquet sales experience
Experience with weddings, showers, repasses, corporate events, or private parties
Toast POS or OpenTable experience
Social media or local marketing experience
Existing relationships with local organizations, funeral homes, offices, churches, schools, or event vendors
A passion for hospitality, community, and growing a local business
