The Deburrer plays a critical role in our manufacturing process, ensuring that all machined aerospace components meet stringent quality specifications before proceeding to assembly or shipment. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a commitment to maintaining the exceptional quality standards that our customers depend on. You will be responsible for removing burrs, sharp edges, and imperfections from precision-machined parts using various manual and automated deburring techniques.
- Perform manual and automated deburring operations on aerospace components made from various materials including aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and exotic alloys
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections using hand tools, power tools, files, abrasives, and specialized deburring equipment
- Operate and maintain tumbling equipment to achieve specified surface finishes on batches of components
- Select appropriate deburring methods and tools based on material type, part geometry, and engineering specifications
- Ensure all deburred parts meet dimensional tolerances and surface finish requirements as specified in engineering drawings
- Process parts through vibratory tumblers, barrel tumblers, and other mass finishing equipment according to established procedures
- Conduct thorough visual and tactile inspections of all deburred components to verify quality standards are met
- Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy
