Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Admissions Director to lead our patient intake and enrollment processes within a fast-paced healthcare environment. This pivotal role involves overseeing the entire admissions workflow, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, managing a dedicated team, and optimizing operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in medical office management, and a comprehensive understanding of healthcare policies and electronic health record systems. Your energetic approach will drive growth, enhance patient experience, and uphold the highest standards of medical administrative support.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the admissions team to ensure smooth patient intake, registration, and scheduling processes across multiple healthcare settings.
Oversee the management of electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, and Eaglesoft to ensure accuracy, security, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Develop and implement policies related to health regulation compliance, utilization management, managed care protocols, and practice management standards.
Coordinate with clinical staff to verify patient insurance coverage, manage billing procedures, and facilitate financial management activities including budgeting.
Ensure adherence to healthcare management standards including JCAHO accreditation requirements and state/federal health regulation policies.
Manage human resources functions such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and team development for medical administrative support staff.
Monitor operational metrics to optimize clinic efficiency, improve patient flow, and enhance overall service quality.

Qualifications

Proven experience supervising teams within a healthcare or medical office environment with strong leadership skills in managing teams as a healthcare practice manager.
Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, EMR/EHR systems (including Epic), Dentrix, Eaglesoft, eClinicalWorks, and other relevant software platforms.
Demonstrated expertise in fiscal management including budgeting, financial management practices, and resource allocation.
Hands-on experience with medical office management including clinic operations, office management procedures, and healthcare management best practices.
Familiarity with health regulation policies such as HIPAA compliance, JCAHO standards, utilization management protocols, and managed care processes.
Background in nursing or acute care experience is highly desirable; veterinary or hospital experience is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in medical administrative support functions.
