Saw Operator (First, Second, Third Shift)

Little Rock Arkansas

Boyd Metals of Little Rock is currently interviewing for a second shift Saw Operator. 8 Hour shift as scheduled.

The key responsibility areas for this position include:

Identify paperwork / work order documents and make a mental map of how each order will fit on saw, prioritize according to supervisor’s input, 2nd runs, customer will calls or other requirements.
Load material with crane or proper material handling equipment: Remove cut material, package, color code and tag material per customer specifications.
Select proper blades for job depending on material to be cut.
Program and cut with CNC computer per work order instructions while conducting periodic quality checks to ensure parts are produced within tolerance.

Associated Hazards/Physical Requirements
All saw operators are required to be able to lift up to 50 lbs, be certified in crane operation and climb in and out of forklifts.

Stepping in and around layouts, lifting some small material on to conveyor and stacking cut pieces (finished goods) onto skids.
Changing fork lift propane tanks – as needed
