Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Data Entry Clerk / Indexer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately inputting, updating, and managing data across various databases and systems. Your technical proficiency and keen attention to detail will ensure the integrity and confidentiality of critical information. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to efficient data management processes that support our organization’s operations and decision-making.

Responsibilities

Enter data into Excel spreadsheets, database systems, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software with precision and speed.
Maintain and update records in multiple databases, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
Organize, file, and retrieve documents efficiently using digital filing systems and physical filing methods.
Perform data collection tasks from various sources, verifying information for correctness before entry.
Utilize Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and productivity software to create reports, transcribe information, and analyze data using pivot tables and Excel functions.
Handle confidential information with discretion, adhering to privacy policies and security protocols.
Conduct basic math calculations as needed for data verification or analysis purposes.
Support data transcription projects by converting audio or handwritten notes into digital formats using accurate typing skills (including 10-key typing).
Assist with office tasks such as filing, organizing records, and supporting customer service inquiries related to data requests.
Use technical skills to troubleshoot minor database or spreadsheet issues, ensuring smooth workflow continuity.

Experience

Proven experience in data entry or indexing roles within office environments or similar settings.
Familiarity with database systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite—especially Excel for data analysis and creating pivot tables.
Strong typing skills with high accuracy (including 10-key typing) and proficiency in word processing software.
Knowledge of data collection methods, filing systems, and document management best practices.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining attention to detail.
Basic understanding of computer skills necessary for effective use of productivity software and database management tools.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
