As our company continues to grow, we're looking for a skilled and motivated Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our Salt Lake City team.

Job Description:

As a Sheet Metal Fabricator and Machine Operator, you’ll play a critical role in our advanced manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for a technically minded individual who enjoys learning new systems, working with automated equipment, and contributing to high precision fabrication.

In addition to fabricating custom metal roofing and wall cladding systems, you will be involved in machine setup, process line operation, and oversight of modern fabrication technologies, including CNC equipment, automation systems, and robotic or semi-automated processes. Hands on training will be provided for specialized and high-tech machinery used in our shop.

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret shop drawings, specifications, and 3D models to ensure accurate fabrication
Set up, program, operate, and oversee CNC laser cutting machine
Set up, operate, and oversee metal fabrication equipment including cutting, shearing, notching, bending, and forming tools
Assist with process line (conveyor) setup, operation, and optimization
Support automation and robotic system setup, operation oversight, and basic troubleshooting
Operate and assist with CNC laser table and CNC laser tube cutting, including downstream material processing Perform occasional component repair and machine maintenance
Potentially program, set up, and operate CNC equipment, including mills (e.g., Haas VF-2)
Utilize 3D CAD/CAM software (preferably Fusion 360) for part visualization, layout, or basic programming
Participate in pre-assembly of construction structures (such as domes) within the warehouse
Contribute to high tech solar and photovoltaic product manufacturing and assembly
Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and installation teams
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in sheet metal fabrication or related manufacturing field
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn and adapt to new machines, software, and processes
Experience operating fabrication machinery; exposure to CNC, automation, or robotic systems is highly valued
Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
Familiarity with 3D modeling or CAM software (Fusion 360 preferred)
Interest in advanced manufacturing, automation, and high precision production
Comfortable with hands on machine setup, adjustment, and light repair
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to take ownership of technical tasks
Positive, team-oriented mindset with a desire to grow alongside a scaling company
