Full Job Description

Microbiology Analyst, 2nd Shift, Pharma

1st Shift (Monday-Thursday, 4x10-hour shifts 6am-4:30pm schedule flexibility required.

This position performs environmental monitoring and quality control of aseptic process area, to include testing of finished products, raw materials, and components according to established procedures. Position applies standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the laboratory. Position performs a variety of tasks.

Your responsibilities:

Performs a variety of micro testing on finished products, raw materials, and components.
Performs environmental monitoring in areas of varying aseptic classification.
Performs data entry and prepares various reports.
Performs validation testing, annual testing, and completes special projects as required or requested.
Maintains and orders supplies in assigned areas.
Samples raw material.
Performs daily WFI testing.
Performs laboratory maintenance.
Monitors temperature charts.
Assists with special projects as required or requested.
Promote a safe and harmonious work environment.
Maintain compliance with SOPs, GMPs, and all company policies.
Other duties as assigned or required.

You bring these qualities:

A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in science or related field.
At least 1-3 years’ experience in a laboratory setting.
Knowledge of contemporary laboratory practices and procedures.
Knowledge and skill in operating various specialized equipment, such as laboratory balances and various instrumentation.
Knowledge of general computer functions such as Microsoft Office programs, spreadsheets, etc.
Skill in handling several projects or tasks at the same time, or within a given time frame.
Advanced Problem Safety Sensitivity; the ability to recognize a safety issue or potential safety issue.
Skill to use time management techniques in personal daily tasks and that of others.
Ability to apply critical thinking.
Advanced interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of all internal and external information and processes.
Ability to follow personal hygiene standards/procedures according to SOP.
Ability to wear protective attire as required and don gowning materials in correct order per SOP.
Ability to follow all appropriate SOPs and safety procedures per company guidelines.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to be flexible in work hours.
Ability to provide motivational support.
Ability to maintain a professional, positive attitude at all times.
Ability to trust, develop, maintain, and strengthen partnerships with others inside the organization who can provide information, assistance, and support.
