Full Job Description

Machining & Operations

Program and operate CNC machines, Wire EDM, and Sinker EDM with precision and efficiency.
Conceptualize and create electrodes required for EDM sinker operations.
Program CNC mills to machine parts according to functional specifications.
Generate wire paths and set up Wire EDM machines for accurate cutting operations.
Program and operate Sinker EDM to burn metal to the proper depth using electrodes.
Set up lathe programs and perform cutting operations as required.

Mold Repair & Troubleshooting

Conduct and perform troubleshooting and mold repair, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal production efficiency.
Conduct blue-off and shutdown procedures to ensure mold integrity and quality.
Diagnose and resolve machining issues related to EDM processes and CNC programing.

Quality & Safety Compliance

Produce work that meets established quality standards and ensures consistent satisfactory output.
Ensure all work meets tight tolerances and quality control standards.
Accurately measure and inspect machined parts to verify compliance with specifications.
Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
Maintain compliance with ISO and environmental certifications.

Work effectively under pressure, maintaining an organized work area while meeting deadlines.
Demonstrate a professional attitude towards work, company, and associates, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
Show adaptability and composure in handling unavoidable tension and pressure.

Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Advanced proficiency in CNC programming and operation.
Proficiency in Wire EDM and Sinker EDM machine setup and operation.
Extensive knowledge of machining tolerances and precision measurement tools.
Strong troubleshooting skills for mold repair and equipment maintenance.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Computer literacy and familiarity with job-specific software.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies.

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Technical certification or associate’s degree in machining, manufacturing technology, or a related field preferred.
5+ years of experience in CNC machining and EDM operations.
Previous experience in mold repair and troubleshooting required.
MasterCAM experience is preferred

The CNC & EDM Specialist is responsible for producing high-quality, precision components through the operation and maintenance of CNC, Wire EDM, and Sinker EDM equipment. This role requires strong expertise in programming, troubleshooting, and mold repair, as well as the ability to manufacture parts with tight tolerances.
