Position Summary:
The Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting the implementation of Focus Fairies Mentoring’s school-based programming at assigned school sites. This role ensures high-quality facilitation, consistent program delivery, and strong engagement with students, families, and school partners. The Program Coordinator works closely with the Program Manager to execute daily program operations, support data tracking and parent engagement, and maintain positive relationships within school communities. This role is essential to delivering a consistent, engaging, and impactful experience for all participants.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Facilitation and School Site Support
- Facilitate program sessions at assigned school sites in alignment with organizational curriculum and standards.
- Ensure consistent delivery of programming across all assigned sites.
- Maintain a structured, engaging, and supportive environment for all participants.
- Support day to day program logistics at assigned school sites.
- Ensure materials, supplies, and program setup are prepared and executed effectively.
- Represent Focus Fairies Mentoring with professionalism and consistency within school settings.
Student Engagement and Support
- Build positive relationships with students and create a safe and inclusive environment.
- Support student engagement, participation, and overall experience during program sessions.
- Implement positive behavior management strategies and reinforce program expectations.
- Address student concerns and escalate issues to the Program Manager as needed.
Data Tracking and Documentation
- Track student attendance, participation, and engagement consistently and accurately.
- Maintain up to date program records and submit required data in a timely manner.
- Support program outcome tracking and reporting efforts.
- Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with organizational expectations.
Parent and Family Engagement
- Support communication with parents and guardians regarding program participation and events.
- Assist with coordinating family engagement activities and events.
- Respond to parent inquiries and escalate concerns as appropriate.
- Help strengthen connections between families, students, and the program.
School Partner Support
- Build and maintain positive relationships with school staff including teachers, counselors, and administrators.
- Support day to day coordination with school partners at assigned sites.
- Communicate program updates, scheduling needs, and logistics effectively.
- Represent the organization as a reliable and professional school partner.
Program Operations Support
- Assist the Program Manager with program execution across school sites.
- Support preparation and coordination of events, workshops, and program activities.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and organizational initiatives.
- Ensure alignment with organizational policies, procedures, and program standards.
Compliance and Safety
- Follow all child safety policies and organizational guidelines.
- Support proper documentation and reporting of incidents.
- Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment for all participants.
Qualifications:
Education
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field required.
Experience
- One to three years of experience working with youth, mentoring programs, or school-based settings required.
- Minimum of one year of experience facilitating group sessions or working directly with students.
Schedule Requirements:
- This is a remote position that requires regular travel between assigned school sites and partner locations.
- Must be available during program hours to support school-based programming and staff.
- Occasional evening and weekend availability may be required to support organizational events, meetings, training, and family engagement activities.
- Schedule flexibility is required to meet program and organizational needs.
Skills:
- Knowledge of youth development principles, social-emotional learning, and school-based programming.
- Knowledge of family engagement, community partnerships, and program implementation best practices.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with students, families, school personnel, community partners, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to collect, track, and analyze program data to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Ability to adapt, prioritize, and operate with flexibility is essential.

- Proficiency in Google Workspace and program tracking or data management systems.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout school sites for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry materials up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to travel between multiple school locations as needed.
- Ability to participate in program activities, events, and occasional outdoor engagements.
Work Environment:
- Regular presence within school sites during program hours.
- Operates in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment where priorities may shift based on organizational needs.
- Exposure to a school-based environment, which may include moderate noise levels, high student activity, and potential exposure to common communicable illnesses.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
