Certified Dyslexia Interventionist
Redwood Literacy | In-Person Learning Centers | Lincoln Park (Chicago) IL, Evanston IL, East Nashville TN, Albuquerque NM
Redwood Literacy is growing our In-Person Learning Centers teams and invite you to join us! We are looking for Certified Dyslexia Interventionists ready to make a life changing impact for kids in their own community, working alongside a mission aligned team that is creative, optimistic, and rooted in evidence-based practice. Redwood provides a welcoming learning environment for kids and instructors, a manager who handles enrollment and billing logistics, and all the materials you need to teach. If you want to strip away the noise and focus on what you do best, teach, this is the place for you.
Who We Are
Redwood Literacy is a specialized education company transforming outcomes for students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and other learning differences. We are a Stanford Tutoring Program Design Badge recipient, one of only 37 nationwide. We have served 3,500+ students across 22 states. Last school year, 100% of our students improved their DIBELS 8 composite score, growing 29% faster than the national average.
Our Instructors deliver reading and writing intervention to students individually and in small groups, using evidence-based methods including the Wilson Reading System®, EBLI, UFLI, SEE, and Writing Our World™. We are boutique, trust driven, and treat every family as VIP.
The Opportunity
Redwood spent eight years building deep roots in the Rogers Park, Chicago community through our inaugural In-Person Learning Center. Last year we opened a Learning Center in Lincoln Park, Chicago, and this school year we are opening three more. Every one of these locations hosted a summer literacy intensive in 2026, so each center already has a student and parent community coming back this fall, ready to dive in. We are hiring because we are growing.
Our centers are bright, welcoming, beautiful spaces. They are a safe place for kids to land after school, and a place you will actually enjoy working in, alongside colleagues instead of alone at a kitchen table. You walk in, you teach, you check in with your peers, and you go home. Enrollment, invoicing, and building logistics are not yours to carry.
If your cup is filled by watching students rebuild confidence and parents regain hope, and you want to keep growing as a professional, keep reading.
Schedule
Start date: Mid to late September
Small group sessions: Monday - Thursday from 4:15 to 5:30pm and 5:30 to 6:45pm (Fridays are optional)
Individual sessions: any time between 7am and 7pm, depending on your schedule and the family's. You are not working that full window; our sessions simply run throughout the day. Daytime hours can grow over time, pending your preference and enrollment, most often through individual sessions. Nothing to commit to now, but the opportunity is there and you have full autonomy over your schedule.
What You Will Own

- Building genuine relationships with your students and their families, so every family feels like VIP
- Showing up as a creative, optimistic, mission aligned member of the team

What We Offer
- Hourly rate starts at $50/hour depending on your background and experience, and that rate covers lesson prep and parent communication
