Accounting Lead

Salary: $75,000 to $110,000

Accounting Lead - Why This Opportunity Stands Out

We are seeking an Accounting Lead for a growing organization that offers the opportunity to step into a high-impact working lead role. This position is ideal for a Senior Accountant who is ready to expand their responsibilities by mentoring teammates, coordinating workflow, and partnering closely with finance leadership while remaining hands-on with the accounting function.

Highlights include:

Competitive salary of $75,000 to $110,000 (target hiring range is expected to be $90,000 to $100,000 based on experience)

Direct exposure to the VP of Finance and Assistant Controller

A clear path for continued professional growth into broader accounting leadership

Involvement in month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audit coordination, and process improvement initiatives

Accounting Lead - Key Responsibilities

Lead key components of the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Support budgeting, forecasting, annual audits, and regulatory reporting while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Coordinate workflow across the accounting team, mentor teammates, and serve as a resource on day-to-day accounting matters.

Partner with finance leadership to identify process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and support accounting system enhancements.

Assist with general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other accounting functions as needed.

Accounting Lead - Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 3 to 6 years of progressive accounting experience.

Experience in a high-volume, transaction-intensive accounting environment is strongly preferred. Financial services, commercial leasing, or banking experience is highly valued. Public accounting experience is a significant plus.

Strong accounting fundamentals, advanced Microsoft Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
