Full Job Description

Black Diamond Eye Care has been the leader and preferred provider of quality family vision care products and personalized optometric services to our patients in Castle Pines, Castle Rock and the surrounding areas. Our experienced Castle Rock eye doctors and team of eye care specialists offer comprehensive vision examinations and specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide array of eye diseases, conditions, and problems.

In our mission to provide the best family vision care services possible, our team use only the most advanced, state-of-the-art diagnostic technology and eye care products available. We are committed to educating our patients and providing personalized eye care services to the communities we serve.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable, positive, detail-oriented person to join our team in Castle Rock This person needs to have a friendly team-oriented disposition who can can multi-task. You will work closely with the staff and the doctors to help ensure our patient's experience is excellent. Medical experience is preferred but we will provide comprehensive training!

Key Responsibilities:

● Answer, screen or forward calls, providing information, taking messages or scheduling appointments.

● Compliance with HIPAA privacy policies.

● Greet patients and visitors entering the establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit.

● Maintain clean and orderly working spacing, routinely cleaning the front desk area and waiting.

● Transmit information or documents using computer, mail, document scanner, or facsimile machine.

● Schedule appointments.

● Check in patients for appointments.

● Enter correct demographic and insurance information and scan the card(s) into an electronic chart.

● Check out patients, make follow up appointments, send out monthly patient recall reminders.

● Performing simple bookkeeping such as collecting all patient balances and co-pays and post accurately.

● Verify patient insurance information, notifying patients of any problems prior to appointment.

● Create invoices reflecting the current pricing schedule.

● Scan hard copy documentation into electronic medical records or create hard charts when indicated by a doctor.

● Collaborate with other office team members when necessary to improve office procedures and patient care.

● Maintain a positive attitude during hectic and high-stress situations.

Provide excellent customer service and address patient inquiries with professionalism.

Support the overall operations of the practice to ensure a positive patient experience.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; certification or training in optometry or related field is a plus.

Previous experience as a front desk receptionist or in a similar medical role is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Familiarity with electronic health records and optical equipment is beneficial.
