Full Job Description

We're assisting a rapidly growing precision manufacturing client in the search for an experienced CNC Setup / Programmer. This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative organization that values technical expertise, continuous improvement, and employee growth.

If you're looking for a role where you'll have ownership over machine setups, programming, and process optimization—not just running production—this could be the opportunity for you. You'll work alongside Engineering, Production, and Quality to launch new products, improve manufacturing processes, and help drive operational success.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 40hrs/week

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00/HR.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform complete Swiss CNC machine setups from scratch, including tooling, offsets, prove-outs, and first-piece validation.
Program Swiss CNC machines at the control and using offline CAM software.
Complete advanced changeovers while minimizing downtime.
Partner with Engineering and Quality during new product launches and first-article inspections.
Optimize cycle times, tooling, and manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce scrap.
Troubleshoot setup, tooling, and minor machine-related issues.
Develop and maintain setup sheets, tooling documentation, and CNC programs.
Support continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining quality and process consistency.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Previous experience setting up and programming Swiss CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of tooling, fixturing, offsets, and machine prove-outs.
Experience performing complete setups and complex changeovers independently.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Experience with offline CAM programming.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience working closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams.
PLEX experience is a plus.
High school diploma or GED.
