Summary
The CNC Machine Maintenance Mechanic - Contingent will analyze, troubleshoot, maintain and repair a variety of CNC electro-mechanical control systems and the six machine sub-systems for precision machining equipment. Be able to detect machine abnormalities utilizing real-time data (e.g. servo load, temperature, vibration, acoustics, etc.) to improve our predictive maintenance, zero breakdown and zero product defect capabilities.
Duties and responsibilities
Perform prevent preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing machinery
Maintain and repair a diverse mix of machining equipment such as 5-axis milling machines, mill turns, EDMs, Laser-Swiss, CNC lathes, motion control systems, mist collectors, ovens, stamping machines, etc.
Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control systems down to the component level. Document work performed in our maintenance software and determine the root cause for every failure.
Plan repair worked and determine methods and sequence of operations work closely with engineering to resolve complex problems quickly
Identify improvements in our prevent preventative maintenance instructions, asset BOMs, machine design changes, and communicate these effectively to engineering management
Aware of practices and processes utilizing current management tools
The comment in this position is responsible for knowledge of and adherence to the policies and procedures as they relate to the requirements of FDA quality system regulation, ISO13485 and ISO9001 (current revisions)

Must be able to work overtime as needed
Must be punctual, able to sustain attendance guidelines, and work hours as assigned
The requirements for vision, hearing and endurance are average
There is a need for above average dexterity and mobility based on the diversity of assignments and their respective locations
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, routinely do heavy lifting, and work and inclement weather
The work environment is not generally harsh
Ability to climb ladders, transport materials, and work in small or confined spaces
May be asked to be available to respond to facility emergencies off hours and or on weekends
Frequent driving on company business is required as part of this job

Minimum Requirements:
5+ years of experience, maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical system on CNC machine shop equipment within a manufacturing environment
Read and interpret schematics, drawings, performance specifications, and operating requirements of industrial machining and manufacturing equipment electrical/mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic/ladder logic
Ability to program and operate CNC equipment in order to verify maintenance and repairs are performed correctly.
Proficient computer skills in Microsoft office
Ability to use power tools, hand tools, and operate a forklift
Ability to write detailed repair reports (advanced MS office skills)
Ability to maintain a safe and clean working environment while adhering to company policies, quality policies, and industrial standards
Detail oriented and organized. Analytic thinker that gets to the root of the problem and comes up with permanent solution to remedy the issue.
Self-motivated and able to work well with others
2+ years of experience in Ballbar testing and analysis preferred
Prefer 5+ years of experience with Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Heidenhain and Mazatrol CNC controllers
Preferred 5+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing PLC and servo drive hardware and software
Prefer 5+ years of experience maintaining and repairing various CNC manufacturers, such as Mazak, KERN, Tsugami, EuroTech, Rofin, Fanuc EDM, Maier and Citizen
Desire associates degree in advance manufacturing or advanced manufacturing, machine, technical certification, and operating, troubleshooting, repair and insulation of CNC machines
