Full Job Description

Stride Mobility Group is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our finance team in Huron, Ohio. This full-time, in-office role is ideal for someone who is organized, accurate, and comfortable balancing accounting support with administrative responsibilities. The Accounting Assistant plays an important role in maintaining financial records, supporting daily office operations, and helping ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

· Support daily bank activity, reconciling statements and monitoring account balances

· Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes

· Coordinate with vendors, clients, and internal teams to resolve billing or payment issues

· Perform accurate data entry, document processing, and financial record management

· Manage scanning, digitizing, and filing of financial records for easy retrieval

· Handle incoming calls, emails, and general correspondence

· Provide administrative support to finance, compliance, and HR functions as needed

· Serve as backup support to help maintain workflow continuity across the department

Qualifications and skills:

· High school diploma or equivalent required

· 1-2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative support preferred

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software such as QuickBooks

· Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills

· Ability to handle confidential financial and employee information with discretion

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills with basic math competency
