Full Job Description

Job Summary

TrueScan Imaging is seeking a dependable part-time Limited X-Ray Technologist to join our team. The Limited X-Ray Technologist will perform authorized diagnostic radiographic procedures while maintaining a strong focus on patient safety, image quality, and proper positioning.

As a new imaging facility preparing to open, this position will also provide support during the pre-opening and setup phase. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the technologist will assist with preparing the facility, organizing supplies and equipment, establishing workflows, and completing other operational tasks needed to prepare the clinic for opening.

This position is ideal for a team-oriented professional who is comfortable working in a developing environment and willing to contribute both clinically and operationally.

Responsibilities

Perform authorized limited-scope X-ray procedures within the scope of applicable California licensure and training.
Prepare and position patients appropriately for radiographic examinations.
Explain procedures and provide clear instructions to patients.
Operate X-ray equipment safely and appropriately.
Follow radiation safety practices and established imaging protocols.
Obtain diagnostic-quality images while following proper positioning and technique.
Verify patient information and examination orders before performing procedures.
Maintain accurate imaging and patient documentation.
Monitor patients during examinations and communicate any concerns to the appropriate clinical staff.
Follow infection control, safety, and facility procedures.
Assist with preparing the X-ray room and clinical areas for opening.
Help organize and stock radiology supplies and other clinical materials.
Assist with setting up and organizing X-ray workflows and room procedures.
Participate in equipment testing and workflow testing as directed.
Identify and communicate equipment, supply, or operational issues to management.
Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and patient-ready imaging environment.
Participate in orientation, training, and other pre-opening activities.
Provide input regarding X-ray workflow and operational processes.
Assist with other reasonable pre-opening tasks as assigned based on the needs of the developing facility.
Collaborate with providers, clinical staff, administrative staff, and other team members.
Assist with maintaining an organized and efficient imaging environment.
Adapt to evolving workflows and procedures as the facility develops.
Support general clinic operations as needed and within the scope of the position.
Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

Requirements

Completion of an approved Limited X-Ray Technician training program.
Current California Limited X-Ray Technician certification/license or eligibility, as applicable.
Knowledge of basic radiographic positioning, procedures, and radiation safety.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
Professional and patient-focused communication skills.
Dependable, organized, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to adapt to a developing clinical environment and evolving workflows.
Willingness to assist with pre-opening setup and operational activities in addition to regular clinical responsibilities.
Ability to communicate issues and work collaboratively with management and other staff.

Work Environment

This position will initially involve both pre-opening preparation and limited X-ray responsibilities. During the setup phase, duties and scheduling may vary depending on the progress of the facility and operational needs. Once the imaging center opens, the primary focus will be limited-scope X-ray procedures and patient care, while continuing to provide general support for clinic operations as needed.

Schedule

8:30 AM–5:30 PM
8-hour workday with a 1-hour meal period
Part-time, approximately 2–3 days per week
Must have availability to work the full 8:30 AM–5:30 PM schedule on scheduled days

Pay: From $35.00 per hour
