About Noir
Noir Events & Experiences is Connecticut’s premier event venue, housed within the historic Moore Tool Company building at 785 Union Avenue in Bridgeport. What was once a cornerstone of American manufacturing has been reimagined into a striking collection of six distinct event spaces — each with its own character, but united by a shared commitment to modern industrial elegance.
We’re not a hotel ballroom. We’re not a blank-box banquet hall. We’re a team of event professionals building something ambitious — a venue brand that sets a new standard for what events in this region can look and feel like. If that excites you, keep reading.
Position Summary
Noir is looking for a driven, experienced venue sales professional to own and grow our event booking pipeline. This is not a junior coordinator role — we need a proven closer who can walk a prospective client through our spaces, build a compelling vision for their event, and convert that conversation into a signed contract. You’ll run point on the full sales cycle from first inquiry to executed agreement, with the Director of Operations remaining involved on select premium and high-value bookings.
In addition to sales, you’ll serve as the primary coordinator for booked events — managing timelines, vendor logistics, catering coordination, and day-of execution. This dual responsibility requires someone who is equally comfortable in a high-energy sales conversation and in the operational details of delivering a flawless event. As Noir grows, a dedicated Event/Catering Manager will be hired to take over coordination, allowing this role to focus fully on revenue generation.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the venue sales pipeline: respond to inbound inquiries within 24 hours, conduct compelling venue tours, present tailored proposals, negotiate pricing, and close bookings across all six Noir spaces
- Manage and grow a book of business with clear revenue accountability — track leads, conversion rates, and booking volume through Perfect Venue and provide regular reporting to the Owner
- Build and maintain relationships with wedding planners, corporate event buyers, and community organizations to drive consistent referral business
- Serve as the dedicated client contact post-booking: coordinate event timelines, floor plans, vendor logistics, and catering selections with in-house teams and external partners (OnTheMarc, Cat’s Kitchen, Etc.)
- Prepare and deliver accurate event proposals, contracts, and BEOs (Banquet Event Orders) with a high standard of professionalism
- Be present on-site for key events to ensure seamless execution and client satisfaction
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to support seasonal campaigns, venue showcases, and open house events that drive pipeline
- Provide the Director of Operations with weekly pipeline updates including inquiry volume, tours conducted, proposals sent, and contracts signed
Requirements
- 3–5 years of direct sales experience in venue sales or catering sales — this is non-negotiable
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and booking targets
- Experience managing the full sales cycle independently: prospecting, qualifying, presenting, negotiating, and closing
- Strong event coordination skills — ability to manage multiple concurrent events with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with a polished, warm, and confident client-facing presence
- Experience with CRM or event management platforms (Perfect Venue experience a strong plus)
- Flexible schedule with full availability for evenings and weekends during event season
Nice to Have
- Established network of wedding planners, florists, photographers, and event vendors in the Connecticut market
- Experience working with historic, industrial, or multi-space venue environments
- Familiarity with Foolproof Brewing Company or Noir event programming
