Full Job Description

Business Director — Home Care Agency
Stamford, CT | Full-Time, In-Office |60-105k base + uncapped bonuses

This isn't a "help the manager" job. This is the job.

We're a Connecticut Medicaid-certified home care agency in Stamford, and we're looking for one person to run it. Not assist. Not coordinate. Run it.

You'll own the office, the team, the pipeline, the numbers, and the relationships that keep this agency growing. You report directly to ownership. Everything else reports to you.

If you've been the person quietly holding an agency together while someone else had the title — this is your seat.

What You'll Own

The Team

Lead the office: Office Manager, Community Connectors, field coordinators, and caregiver managers
Run the daily huddle and set the tone for how this place operates
Hire, train, hold accountable, and develop people into their next role
HR compliance, onboarding, documentation, and personnel files done right

Operations

Patient pipeline from referral → intake → authorization → start of care
Scheduling coverage, caregiver matching, and same-day problem solving
EVV compliance end to end — agency software → Sandata → CMAP claim chain
Missed visits, timesheets, and exceptions caught the day they happen — not next week

Money

Weekly billing meetings, claim batch review, and denial follow-up
Payroll oversight, bookkeeping coordination, and vendor management
Coordination with our accountant and attorney
License, credential, and enrollment renewals tracked before they expire

Growth

Relationships with all five CT Access Agencies — SWCAA, WCAAA, CCC, AOASCC, NCAAA
Referral partnerships across hospitals, rehab facilities, SNFs, case managers, and community organizations
Oversight of marketing, social media, and paid ad performance
KPIs and reporting to ownership — you'll know your numbers cold

The Money

Base Salary:65,00- 105,000
90-Day Review: Successful completion triggers a bonus
Operations Incentives
Mileage: Fully reimbursed
Growth Bonus: Open to building a structured agency-wide bonus after your first 90 days

Your first month is pure training — no metrics, no pressure. You'll be trained directly by the CEO on every system, program, and process in this business before anyone asks you for a number.

You're the One If You…

Have run operations in home care, home health, or a healthcare agency
Know Connecticut Medicaid — CHCPE, PCA Waiver, CFC, AFL, MFP, ABI — or you've run the equivalent in another state and learn fast
Have worked with EVV systems, Medicaid billing portals, and access agencies
Can manage people without being a jerk and without being a pushover
Are the person who notices the problem on Tuesday instead of finding out about it on Friday
Want to build something, not maintain something
