Full Job Description

The Opportunity

DSG Advisory is seeking an experienced tax professional to support our tax practice on a flexible, part-time basis. We are looking for a strong tax professional who can focus on tax preparation, compliance, research, and planning support.

As DSG grows, this position has the potential to expand into a full-time Senior Accountant, Senior Tax Accountant, or Tax Manager opportunity.

What You'll Own

Tax Preparation

Prepare multi-state individual, partnership, S Corporation, and corporate income tax returns.
Organize complete workpapers and supporting documentation for review.
Identify deductions, credits, elections, and timing opportunities for clients.
Support year-round tax planning initiatives and scenario analysis.

Client Communication & Team Collaboration

Communicate directly with clients regarding tax information requests and follow-up items.
Work closely with the firm’s CPA owner on complex tax matters and final review.
Coordinate with bookkeeping team to resolve tax-preparation questions and obtain tax-ready financial information.

Qualifications

5+ years of public accounting or equivalent tax experience preferred.
Experience with small-business and owner-operated business clients.
Drake Tax proficiency strongly preferred.
CPA or EA designation preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation

$45 - $50 per hour depending on experience and qualification.
Opportunity to contribute to a growing advisory firm without taking on primary responsibility for day-to-day bookkeeping team management.

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
