Job Overview
Join our dedicated team as a Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) - Direct Care Worker, where you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with diverse behavioral health needs. This energetic and compassionate position involves providing direct care, implementing behavior management strategies, and fostering a safe, nurturing environment for clients. Your efforts will empower individuals to achieve greater independence and well-being through personalized care and active engagement. Responsibilities

Deliver direct care services to clients with developmental disabilities, autism, PTSD, addiction issues, or other behavioral health conditions.
Implement individualized behavior management plans using applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques and behavior management strategies.
Monitor and record vital signs, medication administration, and medical documentation accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Assist with intake assessments, data collection, and ongoing progress tracking to support treatment goals.
Respond effectively to crisis situations through crisis intervention and crisis management protocols, ensuring safety for clients and staff.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, and educators to coordinate comprehensive care.
Maintain detailed medical records, document behavioral observations, and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
Support clients during activities of daily living, including patient care tasks such as hygiene assistance and mobility support.
Use medical terminology appropriately when documenting or communicating client information to ensure clarity and accuracy.
Engage in ongoing training related to special education, addiction counseling, working with people with disabilities, and other relevant areas to enhance your skills.

Skills

Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
Strong crisis intervention skills coupled with effective crisis management techniques.
Knowledge of behavioral health principles, including applied behavior analysis (ABA) and behavior management strategies.
Ability to administer medications safely following prescribed protocols.
Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards.
Excellent communication skills for patient care documentation and collaboration within healthcare teams.
Ability to collect accurate data during assessments and monitor client progress over time.
Compassionate approach combined with the ability to handle sensitive situations involving PTSD care or addiction counseling.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
