Your days won't feel like sitting still. You'll be out at residential properties inspecting septic systems, exposing lids, risers, baffles, and distribution boxes, figuring out what's wrong, and documenting it clearly with photos and same-day reports.
You'll handle small repairs like risers, covers, baffles, d-boxes, and compliance upgrades. When you spot bigger installation needs, you'll hand them off to the Underground team with complete documentation so the next step is clear and clean.
This role matters because homeowners need straight answers and solid work. You'll work outdoors, use your head and your hands, and build toward machine excavation capability in your first year through training and supervised hours. If you're CDL-B licensed, you may also operate the pump truck as overflow support for additional pay.
In this role, you'll combine physical field work with real problem-solving. You'll assess conditions on site, identify issues that may not be obvious at first glance, and communicate findings in a way that helps customers and the rest of the team move forward with confidence. Attention to detail matters here because your documentation and judgment directly affect repairs, recommendations, and next steps.
You'll spend time digging, inspecting, uncovering components, evaluating system conditions, taking clear photos, and completing reports that accurately reflect what you found. You'll also help make sure work areas are handled professionally, equipment is used responsibly, and every site reflects the standards of the company.

You'll earn $55,000-$80,000 per year, based on your experience and contribution, with paid training and future access to commissions. If you're CDL-B licensed and can operate the pump truck as overflow support, that comes with additional pay. You'll also get a 3% retirement match, paid holidays, paid time off, your birthday off with pay, a $150 yearly boot credit, company contributions to health insurance premiums, and continuing education to help you grow.

You're comfortable towing trailers and driving company vehicles, including dump trucks and service trucks.

You preferably have experience in excavation, septic, sewer, plumbing, utilities, or drainage work.
