Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Bookkeeper and become a vital part of our financial operations! In this role, you will manage accurate recording of financial transactions, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support the organization’s financial health. Your expertise will help maintain transparent and reliable financial records, enabling informed decision-making and fostering organizational growth. We’re looking for an energetic professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about precision and excellence in accounting.

Responsibilities

Maintain and update the general ledger using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar systems
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections
Reconcile bank statements, balance sheets, and general ledger accounts regularly to ensure accuracy
Prepare journal entries, including debits & credits, to reflect financial transactions accurately
Assist with payroll processing, ensuring compliance with payroll laws and standards
Generate detailed financial reports and assist in budget preparation for various departments or projects
Conduct account analysis, account reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation to uphold GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards

Requirements

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with familiarity in bookkeeping practices
Strong knowledge of accounting systems such as QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or comparable software
Proficiency in spreadsheets and financial software for data entry, analysis, and reporting
Solid understanding of corporate accounting principles, non-profit accounting practices (if applicable), and GAAP standards
Experience with double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, bank reconciliation, and account analysis
Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation accurately and efficiently
Excellent attention to detail coupled with strong organizational skills
Knowledge of payroll processing procedures and accounts payable/receivable management
