PROMPT: The Director of Communications role relies on a team-oriented management approach, a solid understanding of current communications tools and resources, and a strategic mindset, often on a tight schedule. In your cover letter, please provide examples from your past work that demonstrate your ability to lead communications initiatives; your understanding of communications tools and platforms; development and implementation of communications strategies; and your leadership style.

Salary and Benefits

Starting salary placement depends on qualifications and experience and is anticipated to be in the range of $7,500 to $9,167 a month. This position is a member of the Management Personnel Plan and serves at the pleasure of the President. This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 15 paid holidays are offered each year. Sonoma State University is also a Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) Employer.
