Full Job Description

Position Overview

The Case Management Supervisor is responsible for leading the daily operations of a team of RN Work Comp Case Managers. This role oversees staff performance, service quality, workflow management, and employee-related matters.

This is a remote position; however, it will also be required to be in the field (not in an office). Equipment provided, travel reimbursed, extensive bonus opportunities.

Responsibilities

Supervise and mentor a team of registered nurses/ case managers, ensuring effective clinical team leadership and adherence to best practices.
Oversee clinical case management activities, including patient assessment, discharge planning, and care coordination.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, NCQA standards, Medicare, Medicaid, and other relevant policies by reviewing documentation and medical records meticulously.
Lead utilization review processes to optimize resource use while maintaining quality patient care; manage data collection efforts for quality improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, manage staffing schedules, and promote professional development opportunities for team members.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with hospital experience standards and healthcare management goals to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex information clearly across multiple communication channels.
Ability to remain professional, composed, and diplomatic in high-pressure situations.
Strong leadership and people-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and competing priorities while maintaining a high level of service.
Ability to work independently while remaining responsive and available to team members and leadership.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
Working knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures within the assigned territory.
Strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and a results-oriented approach.

Education and Experience

Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a diploma or associate degree.
Bachelor’s degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Active and unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
At least three years of recent clinical experience, preferably workers’ compensation, or a related field.
Previous supervisory or management experience required.
CCM Required
