PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Professional Educator License (PEL) as required by the State of Illinois
- Experience pertaining to the nature of personal interaction for theatrical performances
DESCRIPTION: Theatre – Theatrical Interaction Coordinator
The candidate will research, choreograph, and train students with regards to the theatrical personal interactions for HF student-based theatrical productions. The length of the work is contingent upon the complexity of the script and the set design.
1. The service provider will attend the pre-production and post-production meetings
a. Show specific theme, concepts, and designs will be discussed for a cohesive vision
b. Scripts will be distributed and schedules will be coordinated
2. Coordinate with the Technical Director regarding the set design, properties, and costumes before creating routines and any items are purchased or constructed.
3. Provide educational assistance to students in learning and developing technical skills for personal interactions
4. Train students with respect to safety protocols
5. General supervision of technical crew during construction and rehearsals
6. General supervision of actors, technical crew, and musicians during rehearsals/performances
7. Report student behavior and/or issues to the Theatre Director and Technical Director to resolve.
8. Report concerns/issues to the Theatre Director, Technical Director, and/or Director of Activities
9. Clean, organize, and care for the shops and facilities after each meeting, rehearsal, and performance
10. Secure the facilities after each meeting, rehearsal, and performance so no student has access
11. Store all costumes and properties in the loft after the production closes
12. Report any repair needs immediately
13. Submit timesheets and itemized receipts for compensation and/or reimbursement.
