Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong understanding of food handling and sanitation practices. As a Deli Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality food products while ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers in selecting deli products.
Prepare, slice, and package deli meats, cheeses, and other food items according to customer specifications.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, including equipment and utensils.
Operate the Aloha POS system for processing sales transactions accurately.
Ensure proper food handling practices are followed to maintain food safety standards.
Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to management.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations within the deli department.
Perform bussing duties as needed to keep the work area organized and clean.
Utilize basic math skills for weighing products and calculating prices.

Experience

Previous experience in a grocery store or kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with sales techniques and customer service best practices is a plus.
Knowledge of food handling regulations and sanitation practices is highly desirable.
Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
