Job Overview

Maverick Mortgage Group is seeking a reliable, detail-driven Mortgage Processor / Loan Officer Assistant to support our growing pipeline of clients and loans. This role is critical to ensuring a smooth and efficient loan process from application to closing. You’ll be the right hand to our loan officers—gathering documentation, tracking progress, and communicating with clients, lenders, and partners to keep deals on track and clients informed.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to break into the mortgage industry or expand their experience in loan processing, with plenty of room to grow.

Key Responsibilities

Collect, review, and organize borrower documentation for loan files.
Communicate with clients to follow up on missing documents or clarify application details.
Assist loan officers with submitting complete loan applications into LOS (Loan Origination System).
Order third-party services including credit reports, appraisals, and verifications.
Track loan progress and ensure deadlines are met throughout the process.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date client files in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Liaise with underwriters, title companies, and other partners to move files forward.
Provide top-tier client service via phone, email, and text—professional, responsive, and personable.
Stay organized across multiple files and deadlines, juggling shifting priorities.
Support ownership and the broader team with operational needs as required.

What We’re Looking For

Experience in mortgage, banking, or real estate is a big plus—but not required.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Confident communicator, especially on the phone and over email.
Tech-savvy—comfortable using mortgage software, email platforms, and cloud-based tools.
Proactive and self-motivated—you spot problems and solve them without being asked.
Calm under pressure with a strong sense of follow-through.
Eager to learn and grow within the mortgage field.
