Full Job Description

Medical Lab Tech (Samples/Specimen)

Pride Health/Russell Tobin is hiring a Tech Lab I to join a regulated clinical laboratory team.

We are seeking a detail-oriented laboratory professional to support clinical testing, quality control, and blood and plasma product manufacturing. This 6-month contract opportunity is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to gain hands-on experience in a cGMP-regulated laboratory environment.

Responsibilities Include:

Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing using manual and automated methods.
Analyze and interpret test results while ensuring compliance with quality control standards.
Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.
Complete GMP documentation and follow SOPs, EHS, and regulatory requirements.
Support laboratory operations, equipment maintenance, and cross-functional team activities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related scientific discipline OR an Associate's degree in a related laboratory science field.
Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Strong computer skills with the ability to learn laboratory information systems.
Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) certification and 2+ years of laboratory experience are preferred.

Important Details:

Employment Type: 6-month Contract opportunity.
Schedule/Shift: Second Shift, Monday–Friday | 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM.
Location: Knoxville, TN — 100% On-site.
Pay Range: $21.00–$25.00 per hour.
Work Environment: cGMP-regulated clinical laboratory requiring PPE. Candidates must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and work with blood products, laboratory chemicals, and automated instrumentation.
