D.B. Lunt Electrical Contractors is seeking a creative, organized, analytical, and self-driven Marketing & Media Content Producer to own the company’s day-to-day marketing and media function.
This is a hands-on role combining content creation, social media, paid advertising, lead generation, recruiting marketing, website support, brand development, and performance reporting.
This is not a position focused only on creating social media posts. The person in this role will be expected to manage marketing projects from idea through execution, measurement, and improvement.
You will work directly with company leadership while independently managing priorities, recommending strategies, solving problems, and following projects through completion.
Work Arrangement
This is a hybrid position. A typical week may include:
- One to two days in our Oakdale office
- Approximately one day visiting local jobsites or company activities
- Up to two remote workdays
The schedule may change based on projects, content opportunities, company events, recruiting priorities, and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a practical content calendar.
- Visit jobsites and the office to capture photos, videos, employee stories, project updates, customer testimonials, and company activities.
- Plan, create, edit, and publish content for social media, recruiting, advertising, and the company website.
- Interview employees and customers and help them feel comfortable on camera.
- Write captions, advertisements, website copy, recruiting messages, and other marketing materials.
- Manage the company’s social media accounts and publishing schedule.
- Manage and improve paid campaigns across Meta, Google Ads, Google Local Services Ads, and other approved channels.
- Track campaign spending, lead quality, cost per lead, conversion activity, and overall performance.
- Create recruiting campaigns for licensed electricians, journeymen, apprentices, office employees, and other priority hires.
- Maintain the company website, online listings, social profiles, reviews, and public company information.
- Support company partnerships, sponsorships, community involvement, and local events.
- Maintain organized marketing files, creative assets, accounts, and production schedules.
- Coordinate outside marketing, website, advertising, design, or video specialists when additional expertise is needed.
- Provide a concise weekly scorecard covering completed work, leads, applicants, campaign results, and recommended next steps.
Performance Expectations
Performance will be measured in four primary areas:
- Execution: Content produced, posts published, jobsite visits, campaigns launched, and projects completed.
- Audience: Reach, engagement, video views, website activity, and audience growth.
- Business Results: Qualified leads, booked opportunities, applicants, campaign efficiency, and cost per result.
- Accountability: Accurate reporting, organized systems, budget monitoring, recommendations, and consistent follow-through.
Specific KPIs will be established during the first 90 days after baseline performance has been measured.
We are not looking for someone who focuses only on likes, views, or follower counts. Marketing must support qualified leads, recruiting, brand visibility, and the continued growth of the company.
Qualifications
- Portfolio or work samples demonstrating photography, video, editing, design, social media, advertising, writing, or related marketing experience.
- Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, platforms, and deadlines with limited supervision.
- Comfortable interviewing employees, customers, leadership, and community partners.
- Comfortable creating content at active jobsites and following construction safety requirements.
- Basic understanding of marketing analytics, paid advertising, lead generation, and performance measurement.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel to local jobsites.
Preferred Experience
- Photography, videography, and short-form video editing
- Adobe Creative Cloud, CapCut, Canva, or similar tools
- Meta Ads, Google Ads, and Google Local Services Ads
- Analytics, SEO, email marketing, or conversion tracking
- Website or content-management systems
- Construction, skilled trades, home services, recruiting, or local-business marketing
- Professional-camera or drone operation
- FAA Part 107 certification is a plus
A college degree is helpful but not required. A strong portfolio, practical ability, personal accountability, and demonstrated results are more important.
Compensation and Growth
- Starting pay: $28.00 per hour
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Potential eligibility for a quarterly performance incentive after successful completion of the initial 90-day onboarding and performance period
This position is intended to grow alongside D.B. Lunt Electrical Contractors. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to expand their compensation, responsibilities, authority, and leadership role as the marketing function produces measurable results and the company continues to grow.
Over time, this position may develop into a senior marketing or marketing leadership role and may help build and manage a larger marketing team.
