Are you an experienced dental professional who loves helping patients say "yes" to their dental health while keeping the schedule productive and ensuring insurance benefits are maximized?

If you enjoy building relationships with patients, coordinating comprehensive treatment, optimizing the schedule, and navigating dental insurance, this may be the perfect opportunity.

Tara Hills Dental is looking for an experienced Patient Care Coordinator who can confidently combine Treatment Coordination, Scheduling Coordination, and Insurance Coordination into one rewarding leadership-focused role.

This is not an entry-level position. We are seeking a highly organized, patient-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced private practice and wants to contribute to a culture of excellence.

What You'll Do

As an integral member of our administrative leadership team, you will help guide patients from their initial visit through treatment completion while ensuring an exceptional patient experience.

Treatment Coordination

Present comprehensive treatment plans with confidence and compassion
Educate patients on treatment options, sequencing, and financial arrangements
Improve treatment acceptance through relationship building and patient education
Coordinate specialty referrals and follow-up care
Track unscheduled treatment plans and proactively help patients move forward with needed care

Scheduling Coordination

Create productive, goal-oriented provider schedules (Dr., Periodontist, and Hygiene)
Optimize scheduling for doctors and hygienists to maximize effectiveness
Fill schedule openings using continuing care lists, unscheduled treatment reports, and ASAP lists
Perform appointment notifications and minimize cancellations and no-shows
Support ideal day scheduling and daily production goals

Insurance Coordination

Verify and maximize dental insurance benefits
Explain insurance estimates and patient financial responsibility
Submit and track insurance claims
Claims follow-up and coordination with the Revenue Cycle Management team
Understand Fee-for-Service, Delta Dental Premier, PPO, and insurance processing
Help patients understand the value of treatment beyond insurance limitations

Qualifications Required

Minimum 5 years of dental administrative experience
Minimum 3 years as a Treatment Coordinator, Insurance Coordinator, Scheduling Coordinator, or similar leadership role
Intermediate knowledge of Dentrix
Strong knowledge of dental terminology and treatment planning
Experience presenting treatment plans and discussing financial arrangements
Excellent understanding of dental insurance and benefit coordination
Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) experience
Experience with scheduling optimization and production goals
Strong customer service and patient communication skills
Excellent organization and attention to detail
Ability to multitask while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor
