Cook - Assisted Living Community

Grand Villa of Ocala is seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time cook to join our compassionate team at our assisted living community. This is an excellent opportunity for a culinary professional who is passionate about providing nutritious and delicious meals that enhance the well-being and comfort of our residents. Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and residents’ preferences
Ensure all food is prepared safely, hygienically, and in compliance with health regulations
Plan menus that are nutritious, balanced, and appealing to residents
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Collaborate with staff to accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions
Follow all safety procedures and food handling protocols

Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a healthcare, assisted living, or senior care setting
Knowledge of dietary requirements for seniors and special diets
Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively
Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety standards
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to work full-time hours, including weekends and holidays if required
Food handler’s certification or willingness to obtain one
