We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our full service, multi-disciplinary firm. You’ll play a vital role in designing big projects that make headlines… plus the thousands of smaller jobs that keep companies, cities, and counties running and competitive. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of post PE license experience, strong communication skills, and a professional attitude. Leveraging that knowledge and experience, they will work in close coordination as part of a design team to design and permit residential, commercial, and institutional projects.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
High Level Project Coordination or Project Management – 6 months
Post-registration relevant experience – 5 years
Application of general Civil Engineering design principles and criteria – 5 years
Construction Document preparation for competitive construction bidding – 5 years
Specific Areas of Experience: Land Development, Site Geometry, Utility Design, Site Grading, Storm Drainage design, Stormwater Management, Stormwater Pollution Prevention design, and Local Agency Code Analysis and Implementation in Design – 5 years
Preparation of Project Documentation and Reports – 5 years
QUALIFICATIONS :
BS in Civil Engineering
PE license
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
ICPR 4, GIS, WaterCAD, and SewerCAD Experience a plus
Excellent project management skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Participate in land development projects from initial conceptual planning to construction clearance submittals
- Coordinate, review, and oversee in civil engineering plan design and calculations
- Perform engineering calculations in support of civil engineering design projects
- Manage and maintain project schedules and budgets
- Coordinate with sub-consultant work related to civil engineering and construction projects
- Provide construction engineering inspection support during construction
- Prepare, review, and edit construction specifications
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure project success
