Full Job Description

Front Office Receptionist/ Scheduler

The Front Office Receptionist /Scheduler is responsible for coordinating daily admissions of patients. They schedule appointments, answer patient inquiries, handle patient calls and calling patients to verify arrival times for a Surgery Center.

Duties:

Greet all patients in a kind, enthusiastic, and helpful manner.
Check-in and Check out patients, schedule follow-up visits
Instruct patients to sign in upon arrival and obtain any information as required.
Maintain communication with clinical staff to maintain appropriate patient flow.
Copy/scan patients’ insurance cards, drivers licenses into date of service.
Check patients registration ,demographics and insurance against presented insurance cards and drivers licenses for accuracy.
Schedule Surgery Center, procedures and surgery's ordered by the Doctor.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Medical Scheduling, Insurance Verification
Medical Office, Medical Billing
Previous experience with multi-phone lines
Organizational skills training preferred.
Computer skills required.
Bilingual/Spanish a plus!
