Full Job Description

Preferred Care at Old Bridge is looking to hire a Unit Clerk. We are a 140 bed Skilled Nursing/Long Term Care facility located in Old Bridge NJ. The Unit Clerk performs secretarial, receptionist, and clerical duties to support the nursing unit and/or assisted care or assisted living facility.

Prior healthcare experience is required. CNA experience is a plus.

The position is a Full Time position, Monday through Friday.

Unit Clerk Responsibilities include:

Maintain charts in proper sequence and thin according to policy.
Obtain all pertinent information and appropriate paperwork for new admissions and prepare a new medical chart.
Schedule resident appointments in a timely manner.
Complete and distribute appropriate reports
File all records in appropriate alphabetical format
Maintain nurses station, including forms, files, drawers, and cabinets in an orderly fashion
Maintain accurate records of resident's appointments and work orders
