Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office and providing exceptional support to our staff and patients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical administrative support, with experience in various electronic medical record (EMR) systems and a solid understanding of medical terminology. The Coordinator will play a pivotal role in coordinating patient surgery services, managing documentation, and facilitating communication within the office.

Duties

Manage a five doctor surgery scheduling and ensure efficient operations.
Ensure all surgical cases are scheduled in a timely manner in accordance with the physician's directions
Review and maintain accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Support medical billing and coding processes, including CPT coding and ICD-10/ICD-9 documentation.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to access medical clearances and coordinate patient services.
Utilize EMR systems such as Epic, Medevolve and Urochart for documentation and record management.
Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and managing multi-line phone systems.
Maintain a clean and organized office environment to enhance patient experience.

Skills

Proficient in medical terminology, including knowledge of ICD coding and CPT coding.
Familiarity with various EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Medevolve, Urochart.
Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent patient service skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
Bilingual abilities are a plus for effective communication with diverse patient populations.
Previous experience in a medical office setting is highly desirable.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review tasks.
Effective phone etiquette and communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with an advanced ability to communicate professionally and effectively with physicians and administrative staff and patients
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
