Full Job Description

Overview
The Clinical Supervisor is a Licensed professional with extensive experience in the

clinical treatment setting delivering treatment services and supervising clinical

treatment team members. As such, the Clinical Supervisor is well versed in the delivery

of clinical care and treatment services to individuals diagnosed with Substance use, co-

occurring, and other psychiatric/mood disorders. This position acts as the official

practicum supervisor for associate (intern) clinicians (AMFT, APCC, ACSW), providing

clinical oversight during their earned credit hours required to achieve License. The

Clinical Supervisor facilitates weekly clinical meetings to provide the treatment team

members with general clinical guidance, structure, and to offer individual support &

feedback on current clinical caseloads. This position closely reviews clinical

documentation by routinely reviewing client chart content, acting as the ‘review signer’.

Duties

Routinely audit entries in EMR system to evaluate and review Clinical documentation entered by Clinical team members, adding a ‘review signature’ and date on forms such as, but not limited to, the following: LOCUS/Intakes, Biopsychosocial assessments, Treatment Plans and Reviews, Suicide risk Screen, Group Session Notes, and Individual Session Notes, etc.
Review client case files to ensure the treatment team has provided sufficient information and documentation to meet the requirements designated by overseeing entities (DHCS & TJC standards), payors, and organizational policies and procedures set by the organization.
Supervise the team of Clinicians (AMFT, APCC, etc), facilitating clinical supervisor hours for a team of associate-level clinicians during training.
Act as official ‘Clinical Supervisor’ for associate clinicians while earning clinical hours to satisfy their practicum/internship, required for licensure.
Facilitate an effective clinical supervision meeting that is focused & intentional, providing a safe space to encourage participants to share and exchange ideas and receive feedback from associate peers.
Provide individual supervision sessions to supervisees (associate/intern clinicians) at a frequency that satisfies the minimum amount of hours required by clinical practicum, as specified by licensing entity.
Provide structure and time management within the clinical supervision space when facilitating the weekly supervision clinical team meeting.
Provide Feedback for clinicians current caseload to provide effective, individualized client care.
Provide guidance and direction on evidence-based treatment modalities, therapeutic approaches, clinical interventions, & industry best-practices.
Provide feedback for clinicians on individual client care relevant to their caseload.
Provide guidance on “best practices” regarding provision of effective clinical care of mental health treatment.
Perform Trauma and Suicide Risk Assessments, as needed, when indicated by clinical screenings.
Attend staff meetings, supervisory conferences, training, and other activities, which ensure effective and efficient functioning of clinical operations.
Regularly review master Treatment Plans prepared by clinical team members and prompt changes, additions, and updates, as necessary.
Attend and contribute to weekly clinical treatment team meeting, each Monday
Review clinical records in EMR frequently to ensure the clinical documentation produced by treatment team members reflects the course of treatment thoroughly and accurately.
(Preferred) Conduct 1) individual supervision on Wednesdays and 2)co-faciliate group supervision/treatment team meeting on Mondays 3-5
Conduct insurance utilization/ peer-to-peer reviews as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $80.00 - $150.00 per hour

License/Certification:

Licensure with BBS (LMFT) or the BOP (Licensed Psychologist) (Preferred)
