Full Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Swiss Technician to join our precision manufacturing team. You will be responsible for the autonomous setup and operation of multi-axis screw machines to produce high-precision, tight-tolerance components for the aerospace and medical sectors, ensuring every part meets rigorous quality standards from first article to final production.

Responsibilities

Execute complex setups on Swiss-style CNC screw machines using Fanuc controls to maintain +/- .0002 tolerances.
Program and optimize machine code using Mastercam or similar software to maximize production efficiency.
Conduct thorough first-article inspections and verify dimensions using micrometers, calipers, and CMM equipment.
Perform real-time machine adjustments and offsets to ensure continuous, high-quality output.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform routine maintenance to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with the production team to interpret technical blueprints and refine manufacturing processes.
Mentor junior operators to improve overall shop floor technical proficiency and safety standards.

Qualifications

Required Skills

5+ years of hands-on experience in CNC Swiss-style machining and setup.
Proven ability to hold extremely tight tolerances in a high-precision environment.
Expertise in Fanuc control systems and CNC programming.
Proficiency in reading complex engineering blueprints and geometric dimensioning.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Mastercam or similar CAD/CAM software.
Background in aerospace or medical component manufacturing.
Strong analytical skills for complex mechanical troubleshooting.
Demonstrated history of working autonomously in a fast-paced production setting.
