Duties

Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure high standards of food preparation, presentation, and service.

Manage daily kitchen operations, including shift management, scheduling, and coordinating food production activities.
Maintain strict compliance with food safety sanitizing procedures and health regulations to ensure a safe dining environment.
Control inventory levels through effective stock management, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize costs.
Oversee catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely preparation and flawless execution of large-scale meals.

Manage budgets related to food costs, labor costs, and operational expenses while maintaining profitability.
Foster a positive team environment by providing mentorship, training on culinary techniques, and leadership development.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Proven experience in food production within fine dining establishments or catering environments.
Extensive banquet experience coupled with strong supervising skills in a high-volume setting.
Demonstrated expertise in dietary department operations and managing diverse dietary needs.
Strong background in food safety protocols, sanitizing procedures, and hygiene standards.
Exceptional culinary skills with proficiency in cooking techniques across various cuisines.
Prior experience managing kitchen inventory control and cost management strategies.
Leadership qualities with the ability to manage teams effectively while fostering a collaborative atmosphere.
Knowledge of restaurant management practices including menu planning, shift management, and food service operations.
Familiarity with bartending or beverage service is a plus for enhancing guest experience.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in food handling and quality assurance.
