Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst specializing in Medicaid coding to join our dynamic analytics team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing complex Medicaid data sets, ensuring accurate coding and compliance, and supporting data-driven decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced analytical tools and methodologies to optimize Medicaid program performance, enhance data quality, and facilitate reporting initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to healthcare improvement efforts through meticulous data analysis and innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

Analyze and interpret healthcare and provider data using statistical and analytical techniques
Accurately key and validate Medicaid coding information and ensure data integrity
Identify, research, and resolve billing and coding discrepancies
Audit provider records and coding submissions for compliance and accuracy
Manage and support assigned groups of providers and vendor relationships
Develop and maintain data collection systems and reporting tools
Interpret trends, patterns, and performance indicators to identify issues and recommend solutions
Collaborate with program managers, evaluators, quality assurance teams, and operational leadership
Communicate coding, billing, and operational concerns clearly and professionally
Attend monthly provider meetings and participate in collaborative team discussions
Support continuous process improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting within agency systems

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in data analysis, healthcare operations, coding, or related field
Direct Medicaid coding experience is REQUIRED and considered the top priority
Strong knowledge of healthcare billing processes and coding standards
Experience auditing records and resolving billing discrepancies
Advanced attention to detail and data accuracy skills
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership abilities
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented culture
Solutions-focused mindset with strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
Proficiency with databases, reporting systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
