Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. In this pivotal role, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, and maintaining a vibrant, efficient work environment. Your leadership will inspire the kitchen staff to deliver outstanding dining experiences, whether in fine dining settings, catering events, or banquet functions. Responsibilities

Support the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation standards
Supervise and mentor kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food production and excellent service delivery
Oversee inventory management and control to minimize waste and optimize food costs while maintaining freshness and quality
Assist with menu planning, ensuring a variety of appealing options that meet dietary restrictions and customer preferences
Enforce food safety sanitizing procedures and uphold strict hygiene standards across all kitchen areas
Coordinate catering events, banquets, and special functions with attention to detail and timely execution
Manage shift schedules, delegate tasks efficiently, and monitor staff performance to foster a motivated team environment

Experience

Proven experience in food production within fine dining or hospitality settings, with a strong background in restaurant management or culinary leadership
Demonstrated supervisory experience supervising kitchen teams in high-volume environments such as catering or banquet services
Extensive knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitizing procedures, and dietary requirements
Hands-on experience with inventory control, cost management, and food handling practices
Familiarity with menu planning, catering operations, and managing multiple service types including serving and bartending roles
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency
Previous experience working within the food industry that includes restaurant experience or hospitality management roles
