Full Job Description

Madison Medical Resort is hiring a Full-Time MDS Nurse in Odessa, Texas. This position starts at $34/hr and increases based on your professional experience. The role focuses entirely on maintaining precise clinical data tracking and compliance standards across our 124-bed facility.

Accuracy in RAI processes directly drives our quality measures and reimbursement accuracy. As the MDS Coordinator, your work provides the baseline metrics that support facility care planning and regulatory compliance.

Compensation and Schedule

Starting Pay: $34/hr (increases based on experience)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
On-Call Requirements: None

Responsibilities

Coordinate and oversee the completion of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) and Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process according to federal schedules.
Schedule and lead interdisciplinary care plan meetings to align resident needs with accurate clinical documentation.
Monitor clinical charts to ensure all data points reflect the actual care provided.
Transmit completed assessments to CMS within mandatory timeframes.
Analyze quality measure reports to identify areas for facility data improvement and regulatory readiness.

Work Environment

Madison Medical Resort operates a 124-bed skilled nursing facility located at 5001 Office Park Dr in Odessa. The administrative and clinical teams rely on verified metrics to deliver resident care. This role provides an office-based workspace dedicated to compliance management, allowing you to focus on data and analytics without floor duties or on-call interruptions.

Requirements

Valid, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the State of Texas.
Prior experience managing the MDS/RAI process in a skilled nursing setting.
Knowledge of PDPM guidelines and CMS assessment rules.
Must pass a criminal background check.
Must be able to pass a drug screening.
Must have reliable transportation for dependable attendance.
