Landscape Maintenance Operations Manager

Position Overview
We’re looking for a Landscape Maintenance Operations Manager to lead, structure, and scale our maintenance division. This role is responsible for overall performance of the division, including operations, team leadership, client relationships, and financial results.

This is a high-impact leadership position that goes beyond managing day-to-day work. You will be responsible for building systems, improving execution, driving revenue growth through enhancements, and ensuring long-term client retention.

You will oversee crews, scheduling, budgets, and client communication while also identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and service quality across all accounts.

This role requires a strategic leader who can take full ownership of performance, lead teams effectively, and represent the company at the highest level. You will work directly with high-end clientele and ownership, requiring strong communication, professionalism, and presence. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Leadership

Oversee day-to-day operations of the landscape maintenance division across all accounts
Build and improve systems for scheduling, routing, and execution
Ensure efficient use of labor, equipment, and resources
Drive consistency and quality across all crews and job sites

Team Leadership & Development

Lead, coach, and develop crew leaders and field teams
Establish clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards
Conduct regular training, evaluations, and performance reviews
Build a strong, reliable team culture focused on results and growth

Client Management & Retention

Serve as primary point of contact for key maintenance clients
Build and maintain long-term relationships
Conduct site visits, walkthroughs, and quality audits
Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention

Revenue Growth & Enhancements

Drive enhancement sales and upsell opportunities across existing accounts
Collaborate with sales to identify and execute growth opportunities
Develop and maintain a pipeline of additional work within the maintenance division

Financial Performance & Accountability

Own division-level budgets for labor, materials, and equipment
Monitor job performance and ensure profitability targets are met
Track KPIs and identify areas for improvement
Make decisions that improve efficiency and financial performance

Materials & Resource Management

Oversee ordering and tracking of materials and equipment
Ensure crews are properly equipped and prepared for all work
Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers

Process Improvement & Systems

Identify inefficiencies and implement better systems and workflows
Improve coordination between field teams, clients, and leadership
Utilize software and tools to improve visibility and performance tracking
Maintain organized reporting and operational data

What We’re Looking For

5+ years of experience in landscape maintenance, with leadership responsibility
Proven ability to manage operations, lead teams, and drive performance
Strong understanding of Florida landscape maintenance practices and plant materials
Experience managing budgets, job profitability, and operational performance
Strong sales mindset with experience in enhancements and account growth
Highly organized with strong problem-solving ability
Tech-savvy and comfortable using scheduling and management software
Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
Ability to take ownership and build/improve systems
Bilingual (English/Spanish) REQUIRED

Requirements

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to operate trucks and trailers
Authorized to work in the United States
On-site, field-based role in Tampa, FL
