Greetings! We are in the middle of our 5-month-long season and hoping to have a few more folks join our great team.
Food Server - this is a job with dinner shifts from 4 pm until about 10pm, Monday through Thursday.
On Fridays, we serve lunch, with shifts from 10 am to 3 pm/5pm, and can sometimes be split shifts, with a stay to work dinner until 10 pm. It is flexible.
We open for breakfast at 8 am on Saturdays and Sundays, then serve lunch from 11 am to 5 pm and dinner from 5 pm to 9 pm. This shift starts at 7 am, ends around 2 pm/3pm, and can also work the dinner shift after a few hours' afternoon break.
The team is looking for someone who is on time for work consistently and is friendly to work with. Our customers are very nice, relaxed, and on vacation. It can get busy in waves, so staying organized and calm is also very helpful. Having experience or knowledge of Toast is a plus, and some experience with table service is as well. On weekend nights, we sometimes have bands, and servers can stay on to serve cocktails until about 1130pm.
Bartenders - The hours are about the same as the food servers; however, our bar closes at 1 am. Weekdays are earlier, and if there are no guests in the bar, we might close at 10pm. Weekends with music and a busy resort, we close between midnight and 1 am. Again, the closing time is based on business levels.
Handyman! - This is a very active job at our resort. We have boat towing to the water in addition to other jobs needed around the resort. Things can range from simple electrical work, like switching out outlets and ceiling fans, to checking air conditioners and building a wooden gate. This is a good job for a "jack of all trades with tractor driving skills." The hours for this job are early, from 7 am to about 6 pm, but the day can be longer depending on how many boats are out and need to be brought in. This job is very important, and timeliness is imperative. Fisher folks are excited to get out there and start fishing. :)
When you aren't assisting our guests in getting their boats into the water, you would perform various handyman, groundskeeping, or maintenance duties tailored to your experience level.
All jobs are tipped positions, and the daily average is very good. Our guests are very generous to the team. As with most restaurants and hotels in hospitality, shift hours can vary widely, and the hours posted here are pretty close, so you have an idea of what to expect.
